Turmeric is a very healing and effective anti-inflammatory. It is much better absorbed with black pepper, so that addition in this recipe is not for flavor but for function. This is the kind of drink I would make if I’m a little sore the day after a harder workout. Turmeric is yellow, so you may want to rinse your mouth afterwards, but unless you’re strangely swishing your hot latte in your mouth, your teeth should be fine.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup unsweetened nut or oat or coconut milk
- 1 tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp ginger
- pinch of black pepper
- 1 tbsp raw honey
METHOD
- Add all spices to a big mug.
- Warm the milk.
- Add the hot milk to the mug, mix well.
- Add the honey.
